PA/Client Services
There are always opportunities for entry level staff positions on our client services/PA crew. Responsibilities include facility support, assisting the Operations staff and Producers with client requests and general office tasks. The position is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to learn and grow in a fast paced environment. This department is the proving grounds for assistant editors, digital media coordinators, coordinating producers, AVID Techs and many more. In the course of your employment, you will be trained in media digitizing/loading. We support “growth from within” and these crews feed that growth.

Avid Engineer
We are seeking an Avid Engineer with solid Avid skills, ACSR preferred in all 3 areas. Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting Avid and Unity systems. Candidate should have excellent skills with other post-production essential tools, such as mixers, VTRs, monitors, scopes, etc. Knowledge of HD workflows is great though not immediately required. Knowledge of Final Cut Pro is great though not required. Top client and people skills are an obvious must.

Postworks, New York is seeking an experienced tape operator for high def and standard def duplication and conversions. Applicants should have 2+ years experience, knowledge of broadcast specs and able to multi-task under tight deadlines with proficiency. Video QC/Senior Analyst
General:
Performs quality control assessment of video content on both qualitative and quantitative levels.
Prepares reports and analysis of findings.
Calibrates and maintains test environment.
Skills required:
- Detailed knowledge of ATSC/NTSC/EBU broadcast standards.
- Knowledge of typical and atypical audio/video artifacts and their root causes.
- Effective use of scopes, test signal generators, test patterns in evaluating test setups and subject material.
- Ability to maintain consistent level of scrutiny throughout long form content presentation.
- Fluency in spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Flexibility, congeniality to integrate into a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Final Cut Pro Engineer
We are seeking an Engineer with solid Apple Final Cut Pro skills, Apple certified a plus. Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting FCP and Apple hardware for feature, broadcast, or commercial clients. Applicants must have a strong understanding of HD compressed and uncompressed workflows. Knowledge of AJA and Blackmagic hardware is essential. Experience with Apple Xsan is a plus. Senior-level OSX familiarity is critical. Candidate should have excellent skills with other post-production essential tools, such as mixers, VTRs, monitors, scopes, etc. Top client and people skills are an obvious must.

Facility Scheduler
Seeking someone to work closely with our Operations department to schedule the facility and maintain work orders. Night Operations Manager
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all work performed at our SOHO location from 11PM to 8AM, make decisions on duplication, transfers, shipping emergencies and any other situations that arise.
- Monitor all sessions, especially supervised, and ensure client feels comfortable that someone is taking care of their elements.
- Be a clearing house for common information, coordinate with the various departments, lab, sound, duplication, traffic, as well as in-house rental clients.
- Act as single physical focus for materials flowing in and out of the building.
- Contact client if there are problems with film, film processing or delay in telecine such that morning delivery of media will be delayed.
- Resolve any resource conflicts within the facility, coordinate amongst all based on job priority; be able to reason the extent to which projects or deadlines may be affected the following day.
- Respond to new inquires for services, overnight client inquires.
Direct tasks as required:
- Answer the phone for all incoming calls.
- Accept all packages with proper logging of elements.
- Prep elements for morning sessions.
- Create work orders for walk-ins, change orders etc.
- Process night session COD's.
- Arrange first AM courier or counter to counter and other pick ups.
- Retrieve equipment for late running edit rooms.
- Respond to overnight lockouts for edit rooms.
- Prepare morning report for scheduling, producers and department heads.
The ideal candidate will:
- be someone with post facility experience and a good understanding of the business.
- be a quick thinker, able to make split second decisions, able to see three hours down the road and able to manage creatives.
- be energetic, communicative and be wide open to listen and learn.
